Helo!
Our 850W vacuum cleaner smoked, when my mother used it. She turned it off as soon as she noticed the smoke. When I took a look at the inside of the machine, it turned out that the capacitor caught fire. Now I am considering replacing the capacitor, the only problem is that the old one has...

Is it possible to connect a 6 KW resistive (R) load to a 4 KW induction generator and still the IG will not demagnetize, only a huge voltage drop will occur at the IG terminals???
I thought, if the IG is overloaded then it will demagnetize!
Regards,
Zolka
No, this is not a homework! I have to connect R, RL, RC, RLC loads to an induction generator! R and RL works fine, you can see the voltage drop at the IG terminals, but RC and RLC are giving me hard time. In the first two cases the dif. equation is described by currents. But at RC and RLC...
Helo Electricpete!
The matrix equation in my last post is not correct, I just wanted to get rid of 1/pC, obviously I didn't do it the right way! It is suppossed to be an induction generator! The basic equation is in my first post (15 Jul 09 4:55)!
Helo!
Here is the modified model!(attached)
Question: Is it correct?
I tried to do it according to your suggestions!

Helo!
The capacitors are paralell with the stator windings, like on the picture!
At first, I want to assemble a model without load!
Thanx for your efforts!

Helo!
When I said I wanted the state space equations, I didn’t mean to multiply the 4*4 vector with i (current).
Here is an example for the motor(attached)! On the left you see something similar to what I attached first, except here is no capacitor. On the right side you see the state space...
Helo!
Can anyone tell me how to transform this equation into state-space equation?
I managed at the motor, but here are the capacitors, which confuses me!
The currents are the state variables!
Thanx
(The equation is...

I have found the next expression in the matrix which describes the induction generator: R1+L1p+1/Cp
I assume p=d/dt, but how can I add numbers which has no common measuring unit???
R [Ohm], L [Henry], C[Farad]
Please, help me out!
Helo!
In my model, there are capacitors parallel with the stator windings. There is no external voltage or current applied to the stator or rotor either. Due to residual magnetism and the capacitors when the rotor starts rotating an initial flux, current, voltage appears. As the rotor picks up...

I assembled my Simulink model of the induction generator. Now, I want to test it, but whenever I find a generator with it’s parameters, the Mutual inductance is missing. For the motors it’s always given! What’s the difference here? In my model I have to know it.
How can I compute it????
Helo!
I am running a simulation, and I have to give variables the starting value, but only the starting value, as the simulation runs these values have to change at each new cycle.I know how to give a variable a certain value but that won't change during the simulation. Can anybody help?
Helo!
I’m working on an induction generator simulation. But I have a problem when it comes to the state-space equations. If I assume that the current and voltage are zero at the starting moment of the simulation, then the state-space equations will always give the result that voltage=0...
Helo everybody!
I made a generalized AC motor model in matlab (simulink), I’ve run the simulation on different 3 phase motors (1kw 2.2kw ,7.5 kw, 22 kw) and the difference between the calculated and simulation results are 5-10% (Tpullup,Tpullout,Istart,Irated,Speed)!I figured out that the error...
Helo everybody!
Could anyone possibly check my calculation results, only the torque, I was wondering if I miscalculated something??!!
The motor parameters are given above!
Thanx in advance!
Helo LionelHutz!
I don't know if Tstart is an IEC rating! All I know is that Tstart can be computed by changing the slip value to 1 in the torque formula!
