I'm trying to model a hyper elastic material using the following equation, which is a simplified version of Mooney-Rivlin strain energy density function:
W=c(I-3)
But the problem is that when I am differentiating W with respect to E to obtain the components of my tensor, E disappears...

But just a quick question (maybe a stupid one, becuase I'm new in this area):when you say splitting, it means that I can select the elements I want to be translated to tirangulars or whatever i want?
