Oxidation Energy?

I was actually wrong about the content. There is mostly metals (60 %) and about 30 % soil, but they are tiny particles (< 10 mm). Any information about oxidation and the amount of heat corrosion gives off would help. Thanks

    Oxidation Energy?

Trying to figure out if oxidation of nonferrous metals gives off enough heat to impact moisture content in a 20 ton pile after a sit period of 2 days. (approx. percent composition - soil 70 %, metals 20 %, 10 % rubber and foam)

Cohesion in mixture of dirt, moisture, nonferrous particulates <10 mm

Thanks everyone, I'm doing a tri-axial shear test in the lab at WPI.

Cohesion in mixture of dirt, moisture, nonferrous particulates <10 mm

Really I guess I am asking what types of properties can easily be measured that have a proven relationship to moisture content or cohesion. I am trying to reduce moisture content by 5 percent or so, but need to determine qualitative assessment of cohesion before I can determine the amount of...

Cohesion in mixture of dirt, moisture, nonferrous particulates <10 mm

Has anyone heard of compression testing being done for a mixture of dirt, moisture, nonferrous particulates <10 mm? I am trying to quantify the amount of cohesion in metallic mixtures that contain moist dirt.
