I would recommend using data from other manufacturers and weigh it against any design demands you have. A good manufacturer I know is Evapco. They also provide Closed Circuit cooling towers as well.
I would like to add one point to my question. All the tailpieces/floor drains in question have automatic trap primers so there is no siffening issue.
