We are using a sintered bushing as a bearing. (1 bushing at each sides of the application)
Bushings are not impregnated with oil but oil is fed through the axle and the hydrodynamic film is built-up.
But the bushing need to be machined to reach the press-fit.
Now we have problems with the...
it's a part of a front suspension of a car , but at this moment we don't know how it's been made. Most probably forged
It is something we didn't make ourselves
Dear TVP ;
The part is an automotive part we've analysed.
It also includes Cu2 : 0.5
Pb 0.04
Cr 0.195
Ti 0.030
Ni : 0.019
It indeed leads to 6056 only for the Zn.
Thanks anyway
Could anyone help me with this composition
Al 97%
Cu 0.4%
Mg 0.7%
Si 0.8%
Mn 0.5%
Fe 0.22%
Zn 0.04%
It seemed to be a 6082 alloy but the Cu is to high for this alloy. Anyone got a clue?
I want to setup a small test environment.
I need equipment to fix some parts to be tested
I need eg a bottom plate with many holes in it, round bars to put into these holes where i can fix some thing onto.
All I found is some equipment for measuring machines, but this stuff is way to expensive...
Does anyone has a good book, article on how many tests need to be done to make statistical good predictions.
We want to do a test with 2 components brougth together and see what the influence is of the "fit passing" on the applied torque and eventual breaking apart of the pieces.
We...
Any one has any experience with measuring stresses in the tooth foothradius of a gear while gear is being tested on a electric pulsator-rig?
Gear is modulus 2.5!
Possible methods are strain-gauges, ESPI ...
Other methods ??
Anyone has any experience with measuring strain on the toothradius of a gear when gears is in working order / on a testequipment.
Gear modulus is rather small (mn= +- 2.5)
Thanks
