UN:
Please could you say how much the carbon steel valve with Stellite overlay cost?
However my preference is to choose the valve I mentioned above.
Rgds Diego
Thanks UNSR,
I thought about getting the following valve:
3" cLASS 1500 gLOBE, rf, bODY: a351 CF8M, Trim: A182 316 SS with Stellite Overlay.
However, I'd assume the worse case scenario that the service is wet Co2. Now are you suggesting the following valve:
A216 WCB, with Stellite overlay...
Thanks Guys,
The service is saturated Co2 and I am wondering if I can use A216 WCB body and 316SS Trim except Seat ring with Stellite overlay over Carbon Steel.
I am aware of the noise but it would not be operated regularly.

People,
I want to use a 3" Class 1500 Globe valve on the following service:
80% Co2 - 20% Methane
Design Pressure: 150 Barg
Design temperature: -10C to 120C
Onshore application
If I want to use SS trim and body, the valve would be very expensive; however I know my best bet is to use 316 for...
People,
Do you know if it is a requirement that the distance between the compressor surge connection take off from the discharge line and the discharge check valve to be minimum? If so, what is the standard?

Gents,
Thanks for your feedback.
Please could you tell me where is classified as chloride environment?
My application is an onshore gas plant. What about FPSO projects?
Rgds Diego
Gents,
Well, the vessel is to be installed in a normal atmosphere. Co2 media and ops pressure/ Temperature in the order of 150 Barg and 50 C accordingly.
I don't know the paint spec but I can get back to you tomorrow. However, in such a condition what is the suitable/ minimum Choloride...
All,
I have done a Solar Turbine course and I am wondering if anyone can recommend a good book regarding the compressors and turbines as a study/refreshment book.

People,
I want to work out the shell thickness of a vessel as per AS 1210 but I am unable to find a formula for minimum required thickness. Could anyone tell me what is the formula to work this out? Secondly, the process data is as follows:
Design pressure: 150 Barg
Material: Plate A240...
Hi All,
Does anyone know if there is a safety zone when performing pneumatic testing? I couldn't find anything in Asme B31.3.
Any feedback is appreciated.

Guys,
Is there anyone who can provide a guideline on frequency of sampling of the corrosion probes at the plant inlet and slug catcher in a sweet natural gas plant?
Thanks
25362,
Sorry I missed the question. I did a fair bit of work on this cooler and manufacturer advised to bridge the gap via using "Devcon-Titanium Putty". As I said, theliquid in the condensate cooler is mixture of hot Mono Ethylene Glycol and Condensate (155C). The first question:
1- Is there...
Weldsv1:
Could you please rephrase "because of leaking it hydrated"?
Do you mean you had a leak upstream of PCV and you had ice formation around it?
Thanks
By the way, in our plant the guys tend to run the main and spare pumps in a way that they have close total working hours at any specific time! Is it a good way of maintaining them?
JJpelin & Svanels,
Thanks guys for the interesting discussion. JJpelin, do you mean you run the spare pump for one day per calender month (every first thurseday of each months)? Svanels, I am interested to know about your operation protocol, obviously if possible.
The thing is we are getting...
JJPellin,
You said:
For machines which do not run, we take data a minimum of once every three months. This requires our operators to run their spares at least this often so we can get data.
Could you expand it abit more? I'd like to know what your approach is to do vibration analysis on...
