Currently we have TC8.3 & NX7.5 with mp12 Patched set up. I'm facing some unusual error as "No read access to dataset" warning from NX when we load the assembly in replicated site. i did crosschecked with access level between both site users / TC configuration from Edit > Options...
Plz try to Run the part clean-up from utilities / check the connectivity between NX and TC / try to login the other m/c using ur ID and try there you able to save or not. ensure both(you & ur neighbor) are same group in TC or there is any different. or you might have the reviewer access...

It's really strange, because you guys switching to Pro-E after using Ideas. becuase EDS merged a UGS corp and Ideas, i can tell it's not just a merge obviously turned the Design world into NX.
