    We use lamps from this company http://www.arc-lamps.com/index.html Everything from 20 watts to KW's. Not sure what cheap is to you, they are fairly inexpensive when you put them into a machine that costs $$$$$ Hope this helps,

    The other reason to draw to scale is many programs will convert the dxf file to g-code for input into a cnc machine.
