    Debutanizer Reboiler Fouling

Most of the DeC4 columns I have seen in about 4 ethylene plants do have reboiler with spare one. The reason is that the base temperature causes the conversion of dienes to form polymerization material. You can do the following: - Add a spare reboiler if you are concerned about down time and do...

    Code Case 2211 and UG-125(g)

I think you need to have PSV if there is possibility of blockage of the HE equipment and where compressor PSVs are way from the blockage piping system. If there is no isolation valves in between, using PSV of compressor would be possible if these safety valves can cover the max flow of the...

    tank's drain size

I think this is generic question as many factors fall on the selection of drain size of tanks. Such factors are steam-out purposes, size of the tank, material stored..etc I have seen various drain sizes as 2" for small tanks and 6" for large tanks Hope this would help cheers SmartEngineer

relief valve on gas electric heater

I think you need to have safety valve to protect the piping from damage that would lead to significant damage. Sizing the safety valve depends on the gas properties (expansion coefficient and others) that will be subjected to constant heat flux when the line is blocked. Hope this would help...

Vacuum formation in a pessure vessel

I have seen similar to your case, the vessel has HC and in case of vacuum pulling much air would cause explosive mixture and explosion. Nitrogen with PC signal is added to break the vacuum and prevent air entering to the vessel by inbreathing valves. I think that you can provide Nitrogen with...
