Thanks Chris,
This means I have to correct the dimensions in the DWG every time. In this case, I might have a better way: Choose all the dimensions in the model space of autocad, then right click>properties, then change the "dim scale linear" to 1, everything will be fine.
I really hope I can...
Hi Chris,
I'm not sure I've understood what you said on your second line. Did you mean that you always have some problems? Sorry if I'm wrong.
I'm self-employed. One of my clients doesn't have Soliworks installed in their computer. They've asked me to save all complete drawings to DWG format.
If...
If I use 1:1 to save solidworks drawing as DWG or dxf file, the dimmensions in the dwg file are OK if I do not change anything on the dwg drawing. But once I change anything or just move a dimmension to a different location, the dimension will automaticly change(If the scale of the solidworks...
Can anybody make the weld symbol smaller for me? Many thanks.
The attached is a solidworks drawing file. I need the weld symbol to be 0.5" long, not 1.20" as shown on the drawing.

It depends on "dimensioning standard": Tool>Options>Document Property>Detailing. I always use ANSI. That why the lines in the weld symbol doesn't change. I tried both solidworks 2006 and 2008.
All other standard (ISO, GB...) are good.
Is it a bug? Or I'm missing something?

Thanks for the quick response. But I didn't say clearly. The above set up only change the text in the weld symbols, like 1/8, 1/4. The lines of the symbol doesn't change. Too long. How can I reduce the size of the hold symbol?

I'm not new to Solidworks. But I've never figure out that why the weld symbol is so big on drawings and I can't control it. And I've left the "Fix size of weld symbols" unchecked.
Can anybody help me? Thanks.
