Yes "plate and bar" radiator. Id best explain what Im doing. In the vehicle im working on there is no room behind the bumper for a front mounted CAC (Charge Air Cooler), so what im doing is a stacked CAC and radiator assembly in the space where the radiator used to be, that way we can make...- maxlogan

Sick and tired of bugs in SW
SW kicks but...have to say it...sorry guys....I have been contracted to design several different exhaust manifolds to be cast....Inventor, no good....Pro-E, hit a brick wall.....SW ripped the projects in half the time, and was able implement no geometric comprimise at all... Bar and Plate (plate fin) radiators ?
Has anyone tryed using a bar and plate constructed core to be used as a radiator in a motor vehicle, high output apps. Basicaly I need to have a smaller radiator then the OEM unit, and also have to cope with greater temp loading. I have replaced many 'tube and fin' constructed charge coolers...- maxlogan

motorcycle oil coolers
You could just resin fill the coolant galaries for added cylinder integrity. Less blowby more power. If you realy need a oil/cooler I can get one for you in bar and plate construction, best type for serious work like that. Slightly higher pressure drop, but greater efficiency, only way too keep...- maxlogan

Solidworks vs Inventor
How u doing Shiner, I have used both, and SolidWorks is better by far. Mind you Inventor is much more user friendly. But I like software with power, SW is very powerfull. It also helps that FEA support is available from various manufacturers. Also coverting file formats is much more accurate in...- maxlogan
