    Help setting control on 200' high building

    i did setup control points and =resection a point on the slab. I just prefer to stack up my lines on the edge of the building. I was able to get onto the adjacent building. thanks.

    ebay has alot of them. i would recommend a topcon. all my equipment is nikon but i had 1 topcon and it was my favorite. Just the local supplier pushes everyone to purchase nikoon.

    i dont see why you say this should be in autocad forum. today most surveyors work with survey programs that are designed with autocad!!! i personally use carlsonsurvey witch is a autocad program with addons. you can draw without setting your limits and scale the hole drawing when finished...

    i am a surveyor in nyc and have been working on building for 10years now. but now i am having a problem running my control up the building. the building is 40 floors and the adjacent building i cannot get asses to put targets onto! any ideas on getting the control up from 2 sides of the building?

    if you are using a newer totalstation that has a hozontal compensator, then i would leave it. but once the gun runs out of level alot i would check your backsight. but remember also if you DO have a compensator , when you zero out the gun you should hit your backsight!!!the gun is going to...
