I use marine propeller stirrer and a draft tube in my vessel. After cooling (@ 50oC steady state) I take sample out for a CSD measurement in a laser diffraction analyser also @ 50oC. During measurements I encounter 2 problems: 1) some bubbles and impurities in my sample beaker give bad CSD...
Thanks,
But its a vessel with about 5L saturated solution. First I tried diffent speed on agitating, hovewer without any specific results of reducing bubbles. Then I tried to insert the probe after I filled the vessel with sat. solution and adjust the for probe about 40-45 degrees, while shaking...
Dear all,
I'm doing a experiment with cooling crystalization in a small baffled vessel (stirred). From my probe i notice air bubbles (trap) in my solution which is not desired. How can i easily remove these bubbles.Cooling from 55 to 50deg.C.
Any suggestion /advice is welcome!
Thanks

Its about a producing well. If for instance a well has to be shutted due to e.g maintenance operations in the wellhead or failure downhole how the shutting and killing process will take place. I understand that a heavy mud is used.
Hi,
I don't understand how a well is shutted and killed. What is the "kill phase" diagram and can anyone explain to me?.
Any information lecture notes, graphs, material attached are appreciated.
Thanks
Dear all I think ASPEN is ok if all thermodynamic properties of the components are available. However you may create a subroutine in e.g.Fortran for better reliable and accuracy results, but thats a long road to go !!
I gues you can retrieve the VLE parameters through results. I have some...
Thanks for all information,
But can we design a marine pipeline for transporting oil and/or gas similar as process pipeline, onshore and/or offshore ??
Thanks
Dear all,
Because of my interest in oil and gas and petrochemical I would like to know everything about the upstream: exploration and production of oil and gas and hydrocarbon
I will appreciate any information, presentation material or lecture material from university (thinking of petroleum...

But still its unclear to me:
"The consequence is that you have less nuclei in your solution and more supersaturation is turned to the growth of crystals".
How come that less nuclei results in crystal growth (volume increasing).Does seeding acts as an actuator? Can you give me a...
A drafter is not an engineer
An engineer is not an drafter
But in my experience..I am a drafter and an engineer, but I always spent my worktime making design calculations, process simulation check PFD and P&ID,s etc. Although I am able to create and modify drawings comply client standards, we...
Hi,
can anyone tell me how to design a subsea pipe line for transporting oil or gas ... some basic design and related information (typical for any condition)
Thanks,
