    Stp file software origin

@Ben Loosli Thanks a lot for the info. I tried what you suggested......Works for (at least) stp files created by solidworks and ProE. Thanks again :D

Hi, Is there any way of finding out in which software a stp file was originally created? I am using Pro/E WF 3.0. Thanks

    Pro mechanica: Simulated surface region

Thanks jvian!!! I managed to apply the pressure load by using the surface option. Yes, you are right about the bug there. One can ignore as you say.... but I have noticed that with these unwanted simulation volumes in the model, the computation time increases somewhat.

    Pro mechanica: Simulated surface region

Hi, a Pro/mechanica newbie here. So bear with me:). I have a long cylinder. I want to apply a pressure load in the internal surface. But I want to apply the load to only half of the internal surface. I know I should be using the "simulation surface region" or a "simulation volume region"...

Flow rate compensation: Pressure and or Temperature

Thanks for the reply TED! The system is exactly the same in all aspects except for the place where the flow is being measured. It is not possible for me to provide a schematic right now.But I will try to explain the setup a bit more in detail. First of all it is an open circuit (as opposed to...

Flow rate compensation: Pressure and or Temperature

Hi, I have a test setup where I measure the flow rate of hydraulic oil at high pressure (before a pressure relief valve). The pressure ranges from 100-350 bar. On another test setup this flow is measured at the low pressure side (i.e after the pressure relief valve). The data from these two...
