Yeah we uninstalled everything before we installed the new 08 package.
We are running sw Office Premium 2008. eDrawings was already included.
Strange...Did they take the print button and all other functions out?
And its not just my pc, its all pc's that got the upgrade.
We just installed sw08 and updated our pdm vault. Now we can't print the edrawing screen shot of the file under the Document Information window.
(ie: on the vault tree, right mouse click the drawing, select "Document Information...", View tab.)
The image shows, but where are all the buttons...
Currently we use the PropertyLinks add-on (made by Javelin) to 'take care' of our drawings. It's a pretty sweet add-on because when you click a button, it starts up the input fields, then populates the appropriate fields in the drawing (and model) with the rev and part info etc.
The only...
Along the same lines, but not quite the issue we're having im afraid. :(
We already have PDMworks and it's fully integrated in our system network...(over 100 sw users here). The problem is syncing our drawing revisions with the PDM vault. (or vice versa)
Currently, we are experimenting with the built-in sw drawing revision tables to be used instead of our existing PropertyLinks add-on.
Up to now, whenever we check-in a drawing, the drawing revision is automatically updated to reflect the new update in the vault. The drawback is that when we go...
The only folders i see listed under 3D ContentCentral are "Supplier Content" and "User Library". Should there be another folder for "solidworks content" then??
We have SW 2006 professional-sp4.1
Thanks for your replies! :)
I tried several options like what Jason suggest, except i didn't try option 1 and 3. I will keep that in mind when/if it happens again.
I ended up just restoring yesterday's backup file and continued on my work. Luckly i only had made a few changes to it, so it only...
Im having an issue with one of my 3D models in SW-06(sp4).
Im getting the "Unexpected file format" error message. The file was working perfectly yesterday, but for some reason something happend overnight and it wont let me open.
Does SW have some sort of file checker tool to possibly scan this...
I can't seem to find any resources or charts on the coefficient of friction of concrete and steel together on both wet and dry surfaces. Also, on various surfaces such as open and sealed concrete. Is there such a thing?
Is there a simple way to move all my assembly files in a separate folder to the root folder of my assembly?
i.e. fasteners, small parts, etc...
For this particular project, I wanted everything in one folder.
I noticed photoworks has an option called 'Pack and Go', but I have a feeling it creates...
Not sure if this helps, or is what you need to do but what if you located a picture of the earth in a flattend (rolled out) view on the internet. Should have zig-zag cut outs on the top and bottom. Then somehome re-create that pattern onto solidworks sheetmetal. Now print out the sketch and...
Well I submitted several enhancement requests to solidworks, one regarding Printer options. It would be nice to have some more plotting control in later revisions. [2thumbsup]
Im guessing .1 tolerance was based on the old ribbon dot matrix printers back in the day. I belive laser printers are pretty reliable.
When i used to work with autocad 14 a few years ago, and print drawings 1:1 on the old hp laser printers, the results were pretty accurate. If I wanted extreme...
Well im all about keeping current...but there will always be the 'old school' vendors and fab shops out there that cant afford fancy equipment that accepting parasolids, nor can they afford a licence of any high-end cad software that matter :-( So i gotta deal with both ends of the spectrum...
ctopher, i would definitely send in a request...if i knew how. I have lots! lol
Corblimey, couldnt they put a 'Print Preview' button in the print window aswell...would be handy. Plus, when some of us are tinkering with scales and custom views it would be nice to know that the print coming...
I agree Heckdogg, zooming out does fix the problem with that window not showing up. The only issue now is that if you print it out 1:1 and measure it with a ruler, it's hit and miss weather its accurte or not.
Alot of guys on the floor like to place certain parts on a 1:1 plot for quick...
