Importing CAD files into Ansys
Hi! Thanks for the response. So, I'm pretty much stuck with the IGES format then. Bummer! I don't think I will get my Ansys license upgraded. Well, I guess I better start fixing that friggin' IGES file...- styvbjorn

Importing CAD files into Ansys
Help me please! What format should one use to import CAD files into Ansys. Someone told me that STEP files were preferable but Ansys 9.0 doesn't seem to suport those anymore. IGES is an alternative, but I don't want to spend a week fixing te corrupt file. The CAD package I use is IDEAS. Thanks...- styvbjorn
