maximum temperature on a bearing on electrical motor

I have a 3.5 MW motor, syncronous, with two sleeve bearings, (zoelern manufacturer) and i have temperatures up to 93 º C, and the manufacturer of the motor, says me that i could put the alarm temperature on 95ºC and the stop on 100 º C, this seems to be too high, does somebody knows about some...

select gen set for start pumps

and if we use a soft starter for each motor?

select gen set for start pumps

where could i get a sizing program on internet? yes, my mechanical calculations, talks me on 2193 kva, and 1500 kw nominal, but if i get all except one, in example 450 kw i get with the starting current a 3,8 MVA... how could i size the gen set? i don´t know....

    voltage droop calculations

how could i calculate the voltage droop? maybe i use Xd in example 10,9 ohms, and i multiply by current?

select gen set for start pumps

ok, but i´ll like to know your opinion. thanks in advance

select gen set for start pumps

hi, I want to start up 3- 300 kw (272 start up current cos 0,7) motor, 1- 90 kw ( 68 A start up current, cos 0,72), 1- 450 kw ( 396 A start up current cos 0,7) and the voltage is 4160 Volts... we are thinking on starting up with direct start and a generator driven by a diesel motor. thanks...

starting a 700 kw with a VFD of 180 kw

yes, thanks a lot, i´m just a mechanical and i don´t know so much about this questions...for this i appreciate your opinions thanks

starting a 700 kw with a VFD of 180 kw

yes, i could keep propulsion on 0 pitch till i have the full speed,

starting a 700 kw with a VFD of 180 kw

hi, thanks for your always good ideas, now i just thinking on a new project on my table, that´s a motor that moves a propeller, that start on pitch 0, and i have calculated the mechanical losses.. and they are 116 kw´on 1600 rpm, the idea is to run the motor without load till 1600 with VFD (with...

    VFD switched frequency

I have a problem with a VFD and a syncronous motor permanet magnets (10 kw 100 hz 400 V), i had asked before some tips, now i could start up without flashing... with a 10khz,the motor have electrical arc between rotor and stator.... and then, i reduce to 3 khz the electrical arc dissaperar, but...

different currents on the parallel wires of a phase

120mm^2 that´s 6 cables for each phase, and three phases... total cables 18 thanks for your attention,

different currents on the parallel wires of a phase

120 mm per wire, and they go together by a cluster,

different currents on the parallel wires of a phase

ok. i forget to mention, i got 2 units else, and they are more or less shared, little diferences... 5 amps or so, but i don´t know if the manufacturer of the wire is the same... the section, yes.
  14. gaux

different currents on the parallel wires of a phase

and about this.... about geometric configuration, what could be the expected difference in the worst situation? i don´t know if this could be mesasured or calculated?

different currents on the parallel wires of a phase

maybe if the installer used a cheap wire? this theorical resistivity would change? do you think this is cause of resistivity of cooper? and yes... i see the wires going out of the generators connection box and then go through the floor till the bus bars.... and seems to be the same, except that...

different currents on the parallel wires of a phase

and what does the electrical code says about this? cause i want to ask the guy that do the installation...cause now the supervisor didn´t accept us the instalation.....

different currents on the parallel wires of a phase

But my question is why this difference? cause the lenght is more or less the same, maybe mutual inductance? could somebody explain this mechanical guy this?

different currents on the parallel wires of a phase

yeah, i have no pic, but the distance is the same, they go to the same bus bar and in the other connection point, they goes to the same bar... what is the difference on distances that make a difference of 60 A.? the distance between generator and bus bars are 100 m.
