    Noise calculations

Sorry to everyone for not providing feedback, work has been hectic lately. I've attached an image of a sketch regarding the noise from plenum boxes. Grille dimensions (and plenums width*lenght) is 1025x75 mm. Taking into consideration an effective area of the grille, air speed thru the grille...

    Noise calculations

Is there any equation or recommendation that I could use in order to see if my plenum box (with grill attached) will produce noise? Grills supply air to a public area and therefore, I would like to eliminate as much noise as possible. Air speed thru the grill is around 1,2 m/s.

    Dew point for wall structure

Regards to all of you. I have a small problem that I can't really solve fully at the moment. I am trying to determine whether there will be a condensation in/on an insulated concrete wall. I've managed to determine the heat transfer rate thru the wall and temperature between each layer. Now...

Parallel work of fans vs. pumps

@LittleInch Just for final clarification: Design calculations determined that at 50k m3/h, system has a pressure loss of 400 Pa. So, if I pick two fans with 25k m3/h @ 400 Pa each, it means that in total, when both fans are operating, I will be getting 50k m3/h? And when only one of them is...

Parallel work of fans vs. pumps

Basically, it's not really a conclusion that I came to, it's more of what I've been told. I just wanted to make sure that there is actually no differrence between pumps and fans when it comes to parallel work mode. My problem is that I have a smoke exhaust system that has a workflow of 50 000...

Parallel work of fans vs. pumps

So, I have a quick question and would be grateful if someone could explain me the difference. When you have 2 centrifugal pumps working in parallel (with same head and flow), resulting operating flow is not two times the flow of a single pumps, but somewhere in between (with head staying the...

    Spiral and rectangular ducts worksheet

@lukaiENG Thank you for your concern, but I used the workshop as an example, to better describe the type of literature/documents that I am trying to find. I am looking for them for my own needs. @dbill74 Tried SMACNA, but had no success so far.

    Spiral and rectangular ducts worksheet

As title suggests, could anyone help me with providing literature for spiral and rectangular sheet metal ducts work sheets? Basically, I need drawings for parts of the ducts (Tees, rectangular to round section, crosses etc.), in their 'laid out' form, before the bending etc., so I can send them...
