Does anyone have any familiarity with the mechanics of the momentum equation as it's used to calculate the effects of bridge piers within HEC-RAS? Mainly with respect to the friction component, which can be de-selected prior to calculating the effects.

For some reason I've been assuming that the 6-hour storm would produce a larger peak than the 24-hour storm, however, its actually producing a lower peak value. Does this make sense or am i missing something in how I'm running these two different storms? I'm basically using the NOAA depth...
