    Nut plate Counterbores

Also, don't forget that the Nutplate is installed on a sheet of some thickness, so I think you could also include the sheet that it is attached to in your "counterbore" depth stack-up.

    1950's GLB Spec

No idea really, but could it have been meant to read- "NLGA", Nation Lumber Grading Assoc?

Tolerance for pipe to nozzle mating

Consider your eccentric reducer carefully- installed the way you show, it may allow an air pocket to form in your suction pipe.

    Can I butt weld 1 1/8 .035 4130 tubing or do I need a "fishmouth" sleeve?

I would suggest looking at a re-design of this tube assembly if you desire to install a bearing on the tube- I don't think installing it and butt-welding the tube back together is a good idea. At some point that bearing may need to be replaced, even if it isn't damaged from welding heat and...

    Baseline Pressure

Sounds like you are looking for an adjustable vacuum relief valve like this- https://anver.com/vacuum-components/vacuum-valves/minireliefvalve/

    Electrical conduit pipe

Thank you Anna, now that I think of it, I have seen plastic conduit similar to that starting to show up in some of the supply houses around here.

    Electrical conduit pipe

Redsnake, do you have a link to an example of "VP" tubing? I'm curious, never heard of it; We mostly use EMT in the states.

Very wide tolerances on non-critical features

Tolerances that loose are almost an insult to the shop people, I would just leave it blank and let the general tolerances note cover it. Or maybe print it in Braille for the supposedly blind machinists... Probably get drill bits thrown at me when I walked thru the shop...

Trico Oiler VS sight glass on bearing housings for oil check

Also consider the newer Trico Watchdog oilers with integrated sight glass. They are a sealed unit unlike the older traditional Trico oilers. This means they can be used in a semi-sealed bearing housing without spilling oil all over. I don't really see the need for more than this.

How to decide the size of a receiver tank?

My vote would be to add another compressor along with larger delivery lines. If you've already had your existing compressor go down due to a burned up motor, you know what happens without any air for your production machines- people standing around and no product going out the door. A second...

Sump/sewage pump size for run-off ground water discharge questions.

A couple of other obvious things to check- make sure all the existing pipes are clear of debris, a partially clogged discharge pipe could be why your pump is unable to keep up with the extreme flow scenario. Hopefully this was already checked, just making sure. Check the pipe from the driveway...

High pressure water closed loop process with gas generation and priming

Maybe you are looking in the wrong direction; what about piping loads? Could heat-soaking or something cause unusually high piping loads to be transferred into the pumps? Just thinking out loud here.

    Pump motor high current

Why was the pump/motor overhauled? From the data that you are giving us, it worked better before the "overhaul". I would guess that either something was re-assembled in the incorrect position, or with incorrect clearances, which is causing physical rubbing during operation, or internal...

    Pump with left side discharge

Don't see any way to private message you, and I'd hate to be accused of spamming the forum, but the company I work for does make pumps in this configuration.- R.S. Corcoran co.- you can look us up on the web.

Intermittent vibration on large electric motor

How often does the "growling" occur? In addition to what Electricpete suggests, I would look at the inlet air plenum conditions; maybe when the wind blows from a certain direction an occasional inlet resonance is excited.

Using one way bearing in cable reel

As others have pointed out, you cannot achieve what you want without some fundamental changes to your mechanism. You should first turn your one-way bearing around so that when the motor is energized, it turns the sprockets and retracts the cable. Then you need to solve the problem of how to...

    Indentation depth

A big enough forklift could roll up to a tank at almost zero speed and then push a sharp fork right thru the side. There is no real way to define a "safe" speed limit that will always work- to many variables. protect the tank with substantial bollards or or a moat or something.

To part mark, or not to part mark

Interesting question, we often face this issue also. For those of you that bin your parts, and/or do not tag them individually, how do you handle traceability and tracking the material back to the MTR's?
