    You can get a 3D spring(sprial) by following the following steps: 1. Draw a donut. 2. Slice the donut along a diameter, keep both halves. 3. Rotate the two halves in opposite directions for an equal angle, let's say 10 degrees. 4. Array the result. Good luck!
