    What is triple wound transformer

Hi, What is a triple-wound transformer? Does it have a relation to the number of rectifiers in a VFD? (i.e. 12 pulse rectifier uses triple-wound transformer and 6-pulse rectifier uses double-wound?) Thank you in advance

Thanks all, the Central Distribution Panel makes the most sense in my case. The acronym list VE1BLL sent did have something similar, but I don't thing it is it (Control and Display Panel).

Why is Ethernet Faster than RS485?

Hi all, I cannot understand why ethernet would be faster than RS485. I read somewhere that RS485 is faster than RS232 because the output voltage range is smaller and so the transition between 0 and 1 is faster. Is it the same idea with RS485 and ethernet?

    SVM vs. SWPWM

Hello friends, I've been looking into different algorithms for DSP control of the IGBT gates. The SVM, along with other advantages such as lower THD, theoretically provides voltages up to DC rail voltage, whereas the SWPWM could only provide around 85%. There is even newer algorithms outlined...

    Microcontroller for VFD

Hello friends. I'm starting to build a VFD prototype. I was wondering if any of you has ever worked with a particular mcu/dsp that you particularly enjoyed working with and would recommend. I know microchip and motorolla and TI have good products to use for motor control. I personally prefer...
