Is there anyway to evaluate the compaction of fills using SPTs? The engineer of record has done multiple SPT borings, the material ranges from a SM to ML with anywhere between 23% to 65% fines. The engineer of record is now saying the material was not compacted properly based on the N values...- geo1976
