We want to link two surfaces by a spotweld. But our reference point that we select in the BiW Welding SpotPoint definition box is located between the two surfaces. Catia then tells us that we can compute the normal vector on the closest surface. Unfortunately, when we export a .txt file...
We currently have two parts that are connected together by 2 spotwelds in Automotive BiW Fastening. Those two same parts are also meshed in Advanced meshing tools. We want to know if we can link the meshings together with the same spotwelds that were used by the parts.

I still have one question left though: what is the best way to isolate a surface. I've used "Create Datum" and then did a healing on my surface. It gave me an independant surface. Is there a way isolate an existing geometry without creating a new one...
