Use TOOLS->OPTIONS->INFRASTRUCTURE->PHOTO STUDIO->SATELLITES
You can define up to 8 networked machines as 'satellites' to share computation load. The Local Host distributes the workload to each machine, who in return send back their computed result.
Place your cursor on an area of the model that has detail behind it that you want to select, then:
- press the 'up' arrow key
- keep pressing 'up' arrow to scroll through elements
Alternatively, you can pick an element that appears in the list.
You could also switch the display to Wireframe.
Select the 'Create Datum' function (usually at bottom of V5 screen).
This function enables you to create your geometry e.g. Split, and the resulting geometry is not reliant upon the geometry from which it was created. The original data wcan then be deleted without deleting your Split surface...
