Honeycomb can be used with VARTM. It was used on the Comanche helicopter. But a simpler solution would be to infuse from the edge and fill top and bottom sides of the part at the same time unless you are tying the used the resin to control sheer. If so you should look at K-cor® from Aztex.
Has any work been done on a gel-coat like material that can be used with graphite epoxy pre-preg? That would be applied during lay-up and would take the place of paint.
Do any of you know a easy way to cut a taper on Titanium honeycomb? I need to cut a 5-6inch long by .25 deep wedge of of 3.5 pound pre cubic foot ti honeycomb. The cut would be 12 feet long.
I am looking for Tapered tape of film with a adhesive back. Aprox. 1.25" wide and .012 thick at one edge and .001-.002 at the other. the tape would heve to stand 350 Deg F. for 10 hours. Anyone have any ideas??

You can build your own chuck and just buy, mats in any type of production setting they will pay for them self many times over.
