    Thank you for that software suggestion. I still wonder what method you would use to figure this out. I had thought you would determine the energy entering and leaving the system and adjust so that a certain temperature is maintained. Is that the right idea or there another method?

    @EmmanuelTop We need to burn enough propane to maintain the temperature in the flare. When it is very cold or windy outside, our current system is unable to keep up and the temperature drops too low.
