I'm going to do the followings:
So in 1), since the column is round, I will use a curved plate with bolts at above & below beam. Size of bolts and plate to be determined based on beam reaction.
AND in 2) Welded plate to steel beam with bolts on each side beam. Wood beam...

Also, I have a case where A325 HS was specified for a equipment dunnage on top of a roof.The equipment will have some vibration. The client is asking for the use of A325 TC to avoid some inspection requirements. Is that possible to do the switch?
