Motor current unbalance and met results

Both values are in Ω GΩ and test voltage is 1KV
  2. EEENGRX

Motor current unbalance and met results

Yes it’s phase 2(to) GND And it’s in GΩ. Not sure about the connection if it’s start or delta

Motor current unbalance and met results

Check out these results for megging a motor after an over amping issues was noticed. phase 2 GND A- 168.5 B - 186.2 C- 131.7 And wire only phase to GND results are A-B - 12.03 A-C - 9.49 B-C - 14.83 Every other tests like phase to phase and motor leads looks goodWhat are your thoughts. And...

    small metering pump spec

Iu are right. Oh me I did not consider max starting current , was just looking at the FLA of 1.4. I think using a factor of 7 for max running current gives me a 9.8A. So yes a 10A relay will be good. Thanks for that update

    small metering pump spec

yes 10A is too much, may be a 2 A relay will just be sufficient

    small metering pump spec

have a very small metering pump that runs on 120VAC and Current of 1.4A with a max output of 250 PSI. Due to the size, what is a good relay and starter size that it will need irrespective of the distance between power source and point of installation which h gives a negligible VD.Asking cos this...

    Motor Restart Procedure

Thanks ya'll . i have been able to work out a schedule to adopt from your wonderful ideas.i am grateful!!!

    Motor Restart Procedure

Thanks for these wonderful responses. is there any standard for determining the time interval?

    Motor Restart Procedure

Aside Manufacturer procedure for motor re-start. Is there any general rule as to the time interval that should be allowed for re-starting a motor that has tripped? is there are such rule on IEC or NEMA etc?

    SRU FLAME SCANNER ISSUE

Thanks..can you throw more light on how the loss of purge gas could cause this? we use Nitrogen to purge

    SRU FLAME SCANNER ISSUE

There has been a flame scanner failure in our sulphur recovery unit where it was found that the flame scanner port assembly was red hot with the scanner face plate compromised and a coupling had melted resulting in the flame scanner suspended by a conduit. what could have led to this type of...

    Frequent Flame Scanner Failure

Thanks. This is an SRU unit and Nitrogen is used in purging

    Frequent Flame Scanner Failure

Thanks for the solid response. What do you think about changing the position of the scanner to improve line of sight? In addition, there has been a few times when it goes in and out of alarm and when scanner is checked, the lens aren’t dirty.Any thoughts?

    Frequent Flame Scanner Failure

Thanks but what would typically make the lens get dirty on a frequent basis wrt an SRU unit?

    Frequent Flame Scanner Failure

So the issue in contention is that the Flame scanner lens keeps getting dirty which is a direct cause for most of the trips? Any suggestions as to what may be causing this trend?

    Frequent Flame Scanner Failure

    Thanks for the responses

    Frequent Flame Scanner Failure

I keep having frequent trips of the scanner in the SRU unit. What are some of the reasons why a flame scanner would trip many times with respect to the mentioned unit and also in general? I do have some ideas but the more ideas and solutions I have would be very useful.
