Actually it is a converter which will convert H2SO3 into H2SO4 in gas condition which I have no idea the concentration, and the temperature is 600 celsius.
And yes, I preffer like 316Ti for this application..

My company will run a Sulfuric Acid Plant project. Our licensor require 316L material as converter and ducting shell material which will operate at 600 Celsius.
I know 316L having good resistance in sulfuric acid. But with that high temperature, will 316L suffering intergranullar...

I know 6G will qualify for all position. But I curious why ASME take 80 degree as a limit for a position of 3G, but also at 4G...is that mean if a weld bead position exactly 80,4G or 3G welder can also make a weld on that position without any additional qualification?
