    MOSFET power supply issues debug request

    @IRstuff I don't know the designer. R1 is Thick Film 2512 470 Ohm 5% 2W -±100ppm/C Pad SMD T/R These are about the only 2 wave forms i managed to get. I tried the see the PWM but i only get 80mV steady

    MOSFET power supply issues debug request

    Hello guys, As I said in my previous request I'm fairly new to electronics. I was tasked to figure out the issue with this supply. Note it is part of a bigger schem. Here Q1 gets a PWM signal from an IC and the output voltage from the supply is fed to a TPS62120DCNR DCDC converter to get 3.3V...

    replicating an old circuit- unexpected voltage drop

    it does work as i said when i put the entire circuit on the breadboard i get the results put the PCB has an issue I'm starting to think that the traces aren't wide enough and could be affecting the circuit. I'm using 0,3mm thoughout the entire board.

    replicating an old circuit- unexpected voltage drop

    @IRstuff Rload is 560 Ohm

    replicating an old circuit- unexpected voltage drop

    @Brian no im not using a ground

    replicating an old circuit- unexpected voltage drop

    Thanks Brian that's actually a brilliant way to figure out the issue

    replicating an old circuit- unexpected voltage drop

    No I checked as well the PCB is fine.

    replicating an old circuit- unexpected voltage drop

    @3DDave yes it works everytime

    replicating an old circuit- unexpected voltage drop

    @3DDave 1/the input voltage is 230V 2/ Yes, I tested eveything on a breadboard and it worked perfectly fine which allowed me to test the entirety of the circuit. I started facing issues once i turened to the PCB 3/I know it's a MELF diode and I used it on my breadboard and everything was fine...

    replicating an old circuit- unexpected voltage drop

    i used the R3 as an example because i have an IC in parallel to that and R3 is but a feedback loop I'm using the 10V to power the IC and whenever i solder it on the voltage drops as it does when i solder R3

    replicating an old circuit- unexpected voltage drop

    I'm fairly new to circuit design and i stumbled upon this old fashioned circuit everything is fine on the breadboard but i was surprised when i put it on the pcb that whenever i put a resistor parallel to the 10V line ( i need it for the rest of the circuit) the voltage drops to about 4V. I...
