We have a plotter that is accurate but getting old and getting hard to find parts for. We have sent many files out for test plots by the plotter vendors but most were not accurate enough. Has any one found a 36" or 48" wide plotter that they like and that works well from a roll on .020...
Thanks for all of the advice every one, so far SW has not been able to come thru on the test cad projects that we have sent them, but they are getting better as we work thru problems. We already have 2 seats of Catia V-5, the problem is the learning curve, Catia is not for every cad user...
Have you tried to use a micro stop countersink unit, some people call them a pressure foot. They are very adjustable, a wide range of cutters can be used including c-sinks with pilots (a big help). We use them alot on c-sinks that are +/_ .005 on the tolerance and have no problem. We use them...
Hi Ferdo,
Thanks for the reply, I put the thread in the aerospace forum because I was wanting input from people in that sector and was trying to avoid to much Catia bias.
I agree on using the software most used in the industry but, we do not get cad files from our customers, we generate all of...
Can SW be used for layout of wing ribs, spars, intercostals and such? We are using Microcadum 2d for our layout now but want to go to 3D solids. I use MasterCam and Catia V-5 for solids on mechanical items, i.e. forgings, castings, cnc type of parts. SW seams easer to use than Catia but is it...
We are a aerospace sheet metal house that is using Microcadum 2d software to develope all of our flat pattern and lofting data. We want to go to solid modeling for the sheet metal, I use Catia V-5 for mechanical part modeling i.e. forgings, castings. How well does Catia aerospace sheet metal...
Can I get some oppinions:
