Exchanger parameters to verify Heat Tranfer Efficiency

TBP, yes, the Hot gas outlet hot side is used to regenerate Propane Treaters, and the sequence cannot reach the design temperature limit of the Heating period.

Exchanger parameters to verify Heat Tranfer Efficiency

Hello CHristine, thanks. Great inputs. I have checked the gas composition in and out of the exchanger and it has not changed much. I am supposing there must be some dirt in the exchangers since it has not been taken out of service for maintenance for almost ten years now.

Exchanger parameters to verify Heat Tranfer Efficiency

Good morning, I have a shell and tube Heat exchanger to heat gas to regenerate Propane Treaters. The exchanger is a 35"x20'; design duty is 7.129MMBTU/Hr. I suspect there is a problem with the exchanger because the Hot side ( Chemterm Oil) temperature is 565 F and the Cold side ( Chemterm Hot...

Good way to make Butane evaporate in the Big Butane Tank

Sorry , you are right I did not provide all the details, it is an insulated big Butane tank for storage. We have a low point nozzle leaking and have to be fixed.

Good way to make Butane evaporate in the Big Butane Tank

The Tank is currently kept at almost atmospheric pressure, the operating pressure is 30 Inch H2O at -26/24F, the design pressure is 2.5 PSIG at -60 F, designed for 120,000 BBL, and has Vacuum protection . I believe the design code is API650

Good way to make Butane evaporate in the Big Butane Tank

I really cannot apply heat, I dont have any heater at the bottom of the Tank.

Good way to make Butane evaporate in the Big Butane Tank

Good morning, I am trying to get a Butane Tank to be completely empty due to a leak on te bottom nozzle. Is there any advise on how I can make all the remaining Butane in the Tank to evaporate?

I need to confirm if my results are correct about time to depressurize a pipe

Katmar and LittleInch thanks for your responses. Yeah my standard conditions are 60 F and 14.7 PSIA. I have a compressibility factor of 0.95 and a volume correction of 1.3

I need to confirm if my results are correct about time to depressurize a pipe

I am trying to verify if my time to reduce pressure in a line pack scenario is correct: Conditions : Natural Gas Initial Pressure: 1400 PSIG Initial Temp: 128 F Final pressure: 750 PSIG Final Temperature: 65 PSIG Pipe Length: 108945 Ft Pipe Size: 24 inch If I take out of this pipe 55 MMSCFD, I...

Criteria to choose Low Low trip on a Pressure Transmitter

the stabilizer Condensate Reid Vapor Pressure is usually around 10 psi, I have send the raw condensate to be analyzed by the lab. I don't have the raw condenste vpour pressure ath the moment.

Criteria to choose Low Low trip on a Pressure Transmitter

I forgot to mention that the LL trip is set for a tube rupture case to protect dowsntream exchanger shell side, but there is also a Pump installed right after the exchanger

Criteria to choose Low Low trip on a Pressure Transmitter

We have a Pressure Shutdown Transmitter installed in a pipe to shut on LL pressure scenario, the old trip set point was 105 PSIG, the pipe contains Condensate of about 14MBD, the flow is still the same but we have lower pressure in the system from 150 to almost 85, but now I need to lower the...
