Alright thanks. Can you please shine light on my remaining questions regarding yielding and different slopes and the attached result file?
Thanks for cooperation
Respected ABAQUS Users, I want to ask about the experimental input for the cohesive zone modelling debonding of single lap joint during the shear test. Here I have an experimental input for some cohesive debonding force displacement curve and have several questions?
1. During the cohesive zone...
Even if it is not complete for the groove surface for time upto 0.14s even than the output is stable and not increasing and tending to decrease at peak of 1.2KN. The files are not modified and are same. Why this results shows less output reaction for groove case? The graph is almost bilinear and...
For that I have attached the output graphs for both of cases. The value for smooth peaks in negative direction just only because of the loading direction while for the rough surface is positive but the value of smooth is greater than rough as it is 2KN while for rough it just peaks at 1.2KN at...
So if this has "Debond" keyword then can you please tell me how I should proceed for it using ABAQUS? May I make element set, node set or geometry set along with which module is used to create the surfaces to execute debonding in the single part?
Thanks
I am measuring the reaction force at the reference point created where the load is applied. I think so it should work well as I measure the output for both smooth and grooved surfaces at the same point requesting filed output in the step module. Kindly assist.
Thanks
you mean that I need to make two parts? Here in this model just only one part is made, how he seperated the one part as during the simulation it debonds in to two according to ABAQUS documentation?
Thanks for...
Respected ABAQUS users, I am doing cohesive zone modelling in ABAQUS for which I have made the one part and at the point of contact of two surface I just have made partition to define the traction sepration contact as if the two parts are connected to each other. How can I make the surfaces at...
Respected ABAQUS Users, I am simulating cohesive zone modeling of with the input files attached here with one as a smooth surface and the other as a rough grooved surface. The output reaction force should be greater for the rough surface due to large area of contact. The model is developed using...
This file has big contact stress may be due to bending and the with the inclusion of crack tip.
How the output is processes to get the stress- displacement curve output ;how to selct element to get stress etc, of the debonding bilinear curve as the experimental input in this case is 27MPa as a...
Respected ABAQUS users, I am simulating the cohesive zone modeling by using cohesive contact rather than using cohesive elements but when I provide the initial notch or crack inside the model the mises stress goes very high as if the point of debonding is facing the extreme bending but most of...
Respected ABAQUS users, The output results of the 2d model of cohesive zone modelling of the double cantilever beam in abaqus documentation is bilinear. Is there an example of trilinear of trapezoidal output result? What parameter should be added to get trapezoidal output?
Thanks for cooperation
Respected ABAQUS users, I have tried to model cohesive zone model of two plates using some glue in ABAQUS but I am getting a high distortion node problem along with contact overclosure along with convergence issue may be due to incorrect modeling but on the youtube tuturiols I followed each and...
Respecetd ABAQUS users, How can I export the ABAQUS mesh file to ANSYS as well as the cae fileto ANSYS completely working file to perform simulation in ANSYS. Kindly tell me the file format extension to this procedure.
Thanks for cooperation
Respected ABAQUS FEA, I have checked the file in ds documentation but the model is just using the seperation of the two lamintes by defining the contact at nodes rather than to put an adhesive as a third material. Is is there an alternate way to put the debond material inside rather than to...
Here is the cae file attached for the numerical singularity problem.

Respected ABAQUS users, I am facting problem of numericakl singularity doing the CZM when use finer mesh. Here is the msg file attached.
