    tieback wall facing example

The only place I see that I can view plans is on the "current advertised Projects" page which is broken out in districts. Any other info that might help me locate the plans would be greatly appriciated even though I don't think it will have the detail I am looking for. The need for the...

    Sheet Pile Soil Pressures

First, I am no geotech but LRFD 3.11.5.7.1 says "may be estimated". "May" being a key word. Also I would say that sheeting is temporary. I know the designs that I have reviewed design the way you have (trap loading) and I never had a problem with it since it is the standard typical way for one...

Studs for cast in place facing

I am looking for any information on the design of shear studs to resist the tension caused by lateral earth load behind a tied-back retaining wall and the shear from the self weight of the facing. AASHTO 6.13.2.11 has a formula to reduce the allowable tension of a bolt subjected to shear but I...

self tapping screws thru gyp board

It has been a long time since I hung drywall to pay the bills but we only ever used regular drywall screws even when it came to hanging sheets on metal framing. I don't think you need any type of self tapping unless the gage is thick.
