I am designing a jack screw. It pulls and pushes a pivot head inside a pipe.
The pivothead is basically a piston with sealant around it. The pivot head is smaller than the pipe, but the sealant is slightly larger than the pipe.
The jack screw basically pushes the pivot head with the sealant...
I want to know if the following materials are NACE MR 0175 compliant,
These are used to make fittings, equipment or accessories that are used for hot tapping. All of the products would be in contact with the H2S.
Thanks in advance.

I would like to apologise before I start my question again. I had asked this question in my other post in a different section. Please pardon me if this is a violation.
The temperature derating factor provided for ASME B31.8 stops at 450'F.
Does this mean that gas piping ( B31.8)can be designed...
Is there a formal temporary or permanent categorisation of fittings by ASME or DOT ?
Temporary fittings being the adapters or valves that would be attached to the pipelines for operations like hot tapping. They would be bolted for the operation and taken off once the operation is complete.

BACKGROUND
I am usiing ASME VIII-1 UG 34e to desing a flat plate wchich attaches to the end of a flangeg spool.
The flat plate bolts to a weld neck flange (WNF).
In the aseembled state, there is a stud which slides through the bolt hole of the WNF. A nut tightens on the side of the WNF...
I have a document which compares ASME B31Q and API. It does not say which specific API code. I tried googling got nowhere.

1081 40.6
1091 40.7
1111 40.8

I know what ASME clauses mean.It is provided in...
I have a hydraulic power unit which is a very basic design that there can be.
A hydraulic motor is being driven by a hydraulic pump. The pump is being run by a diesel engine. There is a factory set pressure releif valve set at 1100 psi. There are regulatory , bypass and emergency shut off...
I have a threaded bar which could act as a sealed plug being forced vertically out due to pressure.
F = x-section area x pressure
I think I can calculate the initial accelaration as per,
F = ma - mg
I am trying to find its maximum vertical travel.
My hot tapping cutter actuating drive stops after 700 psi although the machine is rated for 1480 PSI. It works fine at STP. It also works fine in the field under pressurised condition.
Any suggestions?
