I was wondering if I have a shackle of pin diameter 39mm to be used on lifting equipment on construction sites, what sort of diameter would it require ? is there any guidance to that ?
At the moment I am using 41mm. is there a range of play allowed and safe ?

Guys, need some advice.
I am sure you have heard about man basket. Those cages that use chains to lift and transport personnel. They are used on construction site and also in large trenches. I attached a photo. the cage is made of steel metal.
