Hi
Could you advise the method to find the resultant force , remaining tension on bolts from abaqus results.
A photo of the expected result image is attached .. But I am not familiar with the method of producing an output like this .
Thanks in advance .
Nickel alloy 625 pipe is tested by using ASTM G24 method A for the loss of weight. As part of the acceptance criteria stipulated by the client required to check the weight loss @ 120hrs and also examine at X20 magnification-there should be no integranular attack presence. But the test report...

How do you link the steady state results to transient state analysis initial condition values in abaqus. I am new to abaqus. in solid works thermal analysis or Ansys thermal analysis performing transient with the steady state input is straight forward.
thanks in advance ..
I would like to use a AWSD1.1 qualified full penetration joint , where the root is done by TIG and fill/cap with FCAW , to perform a partial penetration weld using a FCAW GS only. Is this is allowed under the AWS D1.1 noms. If so please also advise ether section in AWS which support this .
what is the meaning of "Change from butt welds to T-joints and Tubular Joints, and vice versa "?
is this mean that a partial penetration weld is not qualify a full penetration weld ?
Hi
Can i use a pre-qualified AWS D1.1 WPQ , where the base material is S355 to S355, and now I want to use this qualification to weld S355 to S275 .
IS this allowed in AWS essential variable .
HI,
I am planning to weld a 100mm thick plate to the centre of an ASME b16.5 blind flange with a 6inch minimum thickness for a pressure application.
I got an asme IX weld qualification for 8" pipe. Can i use this weld qualification for the above mentioned thickness with this weld qualification.
Hi
What is the correct chary test temperature need to be used to qualify BSEN 10225 S355 G8 material fillet and butt weld in accordance to AWS D1.1.

Hi please advice..
if I want to qualify the butt weld for a ni625 pipe to ni625 flange, can I use the pipe material cut into two halts and make the butt weld.
is that acceptable qualification for this production weld.
Please note that the flange and pipe are Ni625 but using two different...
Hi could please advice …
If 60deg bevel and 1.6mm root length weld qualification by using asme ix can be used for 60deg bevel and 2mm root length weld.
is this root length is a essential variable as per asme ix.
My understanding of the standard is the bevel angle cannot be less than 10deg...
Hi
what is thermal buffering in forging material HT process.,
is there any standard for using thermal buffering for low carbon high strength alloy materials .
ni625 solid pipe yield strength is normally at 60ksi, if I want to increase it to 65ksi. Is this acceptable for this material. Can i get this 65ksi from stockist or do i need to get it customised for the process.

Hi,
Could you please describe me whats the difference between an AIM WEIGHT % vs ACCEPTABLE WEIGHT % in a chemical composition chart for a material specification.
i also got some values for acceptable weight is much higher than aim weight.

Hi could you please let me know where can i find information in the ASME IX for the scaling thickness of the pipe for qualifying butt welding.
i have two different size pipes with two different thickness. So can I use the minimum thickness pipe to qualify for both butt welding or do I have to...
Could you please help me to derive the M0, rotational moment equation provided in ASME code.
Mo=0.5*W*(C-G) / tan(theta+mue)
Note:-
I do understand that M=F*Distance (N-mtr)
so the load for single bolt = W/2 =0.5W (N) and (C-G) = the distance between the neutral axis to the inside clamp)...
ASTM A578 is required for clad carbon steel seamless pipe ( accepting criteria Level C ). I normally use ASTM A388 for testing. So I would like to know the difference in A388 and A578 test procedure.
