Okay, so this question is a bit of tricky one. Not sure if this is the best place to ask because it also has alot to do with computer but it's worth seeing if anyone knows the solution. We have a control right now for a CNC that we can plug in a USB to upload programs. The problem is though that...

This thread was extremely helpful, I just have one more question on it. I am taking the cross section of a large diameter ring and I only want the broken out cross section part visible, not the rest of the ring. I tried turning the background off and that did not work. I...

I am having the same problem that was stated in this thread. I created sketch lines in drafting that I then dimensioned and if I try to change the text of the actual dimension it simply snaps back to what it was. Wondering if anyone has a solution to this.

So I have been creating manufacturing sheets in drafting from a model. When I am offsetting lines off the model lines for roughing I project a curve and then offset it. When I was reviewing my sheets today I went into expand and rotated the view and saw that my sketch from drafting was on a...
This is such a simple problem but I cannot seem to find the solution, maybe not strong enough coffee today...

I am trying to sweep a sketch around a guide that is circular, but has a "bump" in it. The bump is a segment of a larger circle concentric with the first that has two tangent curves attaching it to the smaller circle. When I select these curves as the guide NX give me some convoluted pretzel...
I realize this is being a bit nitpicky and maybe a bit too metiulous but it is something that would be usefull. Is there anyway, in drafting, to have a dimension be associative to two different objects, such as two different cirlces? I realize I could just create a leader from the cirlce to the...
Hello,
Using NX6 here, soon to upgrade. My co-worker and I encountered a problem in drafting because of the diffirent methods we use to create manufacturing sheets. I came over from Auto Cadd and Pro/E and I exclusively use associative curves. While on the other hand, said co-worker uses basic...
