Do you know and can you possibly suggest to me, any free software/open source platform that could calculate mechanical properties for composite? on the basis of micromechanical method and CLT? I know it is possible to compute using Matlab, but I don't know how to form the matrix and translate it...

did you notice there is section assign for composite and you can also model composite using composite layup?
