Truss analysis loads to consider concurrent

Writing this from phone. Please excuse mistakes.... When analyzing a truss what loads are considered concurrently? I thought that I had read for analysis of roof loads we don't have to consider them concurrent, but I can't find hard reference in any codes (or I'm just not looking in right...

Truss Plate Stress vs Member stress

Just got done analyzing a metal plate connected truss. By the grade of lumber used (S-P-F 1650f 1.5E) the member combined stresses are very low (around .3-.4) with my assumed loads (around 60psf total). I don't have a good way to analyze the metal plates. Ideas? I can't imagine they would...

Typical Failure Point in Metal Plate Connected Truss

Some of you may have read my previous threads on truss design and analysis... I am still a bit stumped on actually deterring the strength of the plates on a metal plate connected truss, but can any of you shed some light on what is typically the failure point? I ran an analysis on the lumber...

Analyzing an existing wood truss (metal plate)

Analyzing an existing wood truss (metal plate) Hello All, I am trying to determine the best method to analyze an existing metal connected wood truss to determine if there is any additional capacity left for rooftop installations. Are there any publications out there outline this analysis...
