Contractor missed to place reinforcement ( clearly shown on the design drawings ) to a load bearing CMU wall. Dowels were provided at the bottom with #5 @ 32" O.C.
What options available to fix this ? And what is the typical structural repair/rectification in this case ?
Is chainlink fence suitable to be used as a guardrail for retaining walls ? IBC chapter 16 requires guards to be design for 200 lb concentrated load and 50 lb/ft applied on any direction on the rail. But how do you make sure the infill mesh is adequate ?
I was asked this question in one interview:
What would you do if you find out that the Concrete compressive strength of one pier of a bridge was less than that one in he specifications. Assuming the pier was already poured.
I did not know exactly what is the right answer for this question
