    Steel Submerged weight - is there a rule of thumb ratio

    folks I appreciate the difference is minus the displaced volume of seawater but is there a rough ratio I can apply, ie if steel weighs 7850kg/m^3 and water is 1000kg/m^3 can I apply the ration (7850-1000)/7850=0.872 roughly providing no etrapted air? Tks
