Just learning constraints, seems you cannot use lines from sketches for constraint purposes, but maybe I am wrong...
In the modeled part below you can see I used 'point and direction' to make new plane and extrude the cylinder part in a weird, but specific location and angle.
If I were to...

I need to slice a wing in half. Attached is the quick wing I made using section surface to produce the leading edge with G2. The top and bottom surfaces are NOT symmetrical which makes slicing the leading edge at the point of it's tangency at the angle of attack set at 10 deg a problem...
I'm having to learn creo as an NX user. I'd like to have a main sketch I can extrude from as needed.
Is it not possible to do this in Creo? It appears I have to extrude the entire sketch. Not a major issue as I will just have to have 10 sketches in a row instead of one main sketch.
Thanks.

I attached a quick example of how my variation sweep doesn't follow the curve. Any help is appreciated so I can try this function. Last time I used it I believe it worked but I cannot find my older file.
Also, can 'swept' do the same as the variation by just using multiple datum planes...
My assumption is you cannot tie down a sketched curve to a projected curve, but I'd like to ask if you can.
Every time I try to do this the end point will not be on the projected curve nor can I choose the projected curve on the constraint menu as seen in the attachment. I may try curve on...
I'm a little confused how to join a solid to a sheet quickly. I'm using a ton of steps sometimes to get there.
Attach is a crude example where there is a bottom solid curved piece and then there is a top that is built with sheets, it only lacks a bottom. Therefore, there is a sheet on top of...
I apologize if this is an ignorant question but could it make any sense to measure moi from somewhere other than the cg location? Can that be done?
thanks.

I would like to dabble with some UV mapping for placement of labels on 3d renderings. I did some tutorials on blender and I am not sure my brain can handle learning another software right now.
Does nx handle any UV mapping for rending softwares?

I need to do a quick drawing for a model. The model has only solid bodies showing.
Then I go to create a drawing and the sheets I used in the model to split bodies are showing up. I have to save the model as a dumb part as a workaround. Any easier way to suppress the sheets in the drawings...
I need to array a pattern across a face with both a straight line and a curved line then subtract it to make some thin grooves.
If I pattern geometry the first line/curve 100 times across the face and then subtract it things go fine. NX doesn't seem to like doing the second one as it just...
I attached a prt file. This is a simple exercise that I don't understand.
I have an extruded semi-circle to which I added a nice bridge curve contour by a sweep function. At this point I unsew one face of the solid, then sew it all back up but there is always a surface in the middle of the...
Attached is a file where I am practicing skewing a semi-circle(ie. little more than half a circle actually).
The bottom circle is symmetrical. The top one is skewed by trimming the symmetrical circle up then offsetting the tangent curve then adding bridge curves.
Are there other methods to...
There is a red ghostbusters line next to my expressions and I don't seem to be able to use them correctly. Anyone seen this before?
Thanks

I'm relatively new and learning.
I'm trying to create a dome on a block. I created the sketch to interfere with the block and then I extrude it longer than the block, see 2nd pic.
How would I unite both bodies but cut the trim/excess width and length of the dome so that it matches...
