    Conductor sizing for multiple VFD's

I was wondering if someone could please tell me how to calculate conductor sizes for 2, 3-phase, 30- Hp, 460V VFD's, controlling 2, 30-Hp, 3 phase, motors? Would it be done the same way you calculate multiple motors (125% FLC of the largest motor and add the other FLC's)?

Sizing backup generators for VFD driven motors

    Hello, I have 2 water wells located approximately 300 feet apart. One well has a 30 Hp, 460 V, 3-phase motor controlled by a 40 Hp, 460 V, 3-phase VFD and the other well has a 20 Hp, 460 V, 3-phase motor, controlled by a 30 Hp, 460 V, 3-phase VFD. I am thinking of buying a backup generator for...

    High Voltage grounding for substations

Can anyone give me some tips about grounding high voltage cables for substations? There is an existing substation and ground, but it will undergo construction because the building is dilapidated. I'd just like some input on how to ground high voltage cables ( 13.2 kV). Thanks

Fuse cut-outs on transmission lines tripping the feeder

Hello everyone! I am trying to figure out why a burnt fuse cut-out on our transmission lines tripped the feeder. There are other fuses along the line and an over current relay at the feeder. A transient fault caused the fuse to burn out which caused a short that tripped the whole feeder. What...
