    Per the AISC, members W14x145 - W14x730 have a 3 - 7 1/2 - 3 workable gage. Does this indicate the spacing of 4 bolts on the flange? Also, are you required to use 4 bolts? If not, what gage do I use? Thanks,

    Shims under a tall vertical vessel

    Hi, I have a 180 foot stack, with total vertical load of 350 kips. There is a 10 inch grout circle around the anchor bolts and the vessel is 15 feet in diameter. My question is how to design the shim plates to level it. Do I put them midspan of the bolts or on each side of the bolt? Thanks,

    column unbraced length

    Suppose I have a column 30 feet with a beam coming in at 15 feet with a knee brace 5 feet down connected to beam from the column. Would my unbraced length for the column be 10 or 15 feet? Thanks
