    Hello All - Working to API 1104 20th. edition, does welding X52 to Gr. B material require a qualified procedure for X 52 only, or do we need qualified procedures for X52 and Gr. B? We would them weld following the X52 procedure. Please advist. Thanks

    Longitudinal seam orientation in pipelines

    Gentlemen - Virtually all client specifications call for the long seams in pipeline to be in the top quarters of the pipe, offset (not aligned) at girth welds. Bends have the seam at the neutral axis. What is the reason for not having the seams in the bottom quarters of the line?
