    RPAd Dimensions

Hi All, I'd like to know if there is a documented code, standard, or reference that I can use as a basis for the following formula that I found on the internet for calculating the dimensions of the reinforcing pad: 𝐿1=d+10𝑚𝑚 𝐿2=2d 𝑤=(𝐿2−𝐿1)/2 𝐶1= 𝐷_ℎ sin^(−1)⁡(d/𝐷 )(𝜋/180)+10𝑚𝑚 𝐶2=𝐶1+2𝑤 See...

    Cap Screw

Hello, everyone. I'd like to ask a question about the cap screw that will be utilized on both faces of a lug type butterfly valve. How can I calculate the length of the cap screw? Do I need to provide a space between the two (2) cap screws on both sides of the butterfly valve? Do we have any...

    ASME B31.8

I am analyzing a pipeline using ASME B31.8 of CAESAR II ver. 7 but I notice that some allowable are zero in the Output Report. How is that happened? I know about the par. 833.1 for the Restrained and Unrestrained but is that possible that the allowable will be zero?

Wind Load for ASME B31 8

Hello. I just want to ask regarding the wind load for pipeline under ASME B31.8. Do we need to consider or subject the Stress Analysis of pipeline for Wind Load? It was not stated in the code if the wind should be considered. What is the reason? Thank you Regards, Marchie

    Adjustable Support in Pump

Hello. I need your opinion and experience in the design of pipeline connected to a pump. Is it necessarily needed to consider the first support Suction/Discharge to be an Adjustable Dummy? I have problem with my current project because the client wants to use adjustable dummy because that's...

    Alternative for PULS AutoPipe

Hello. I just want to know, what is the alternative I can use in CAESAR II for the PULS's Autopipe program made by Bentley? I have seen a report generated from PULS and it looks like a Modal frequency table from CAESAR II. I wonder what's the difference of it because as far I know the Autopipe...

    Dislocated Pipe

Hello. What is the formula to get the surge force in a pipeline with expansion loop? I need to check using the CAESAR II program the reasons and probable solution on why the pipeline clashes on the adjacent pipeline. Thank you.

    Molecular Seal Drain Pipeline

Hello. Is it really required to put an expansion loop on a pipeline connected to the drain of a Molecular Seal of Elevated Flare (Guy Wired)? The following are the condition of the pipeline connected to the drain: NPS 3" OT: Ambient DT: 90C Ambient: 55C DP: 0.1MPa Client wants us to eliminate...

    Spring Support Lock

Good Day! I just want to ask regarding the spring support condition during revamp/recondition of a pipeline. Does the existing spring support needs to be locked again before doing the changes in the pipeline specially if the spring support is near the pump? This is for the purpose of avoiding...

    WRC 107 Load Combination

Dear All, I just want to know what load combination should I use for the input tab of Loads in "WRC-107/297" analysis module of CAESAR II? Specifically for Expansion loads, should I use the load combination by considering the Sustain+Pressure (W+P1+T1) only OR just Temperature only (T1)? Thank...
