Was there a reason in div2 class vessel removed the 1.43 multiplying factor from the hydrotest and only uses 1.25 for 2019? I could not find the reason they changed this. I dont have 2017 in front of me, but im pretty sure 1.43 was an option in the table 4.1.3.
thanks

I want to fix several high strength nuts to a structure so they do not get lost when in the field and will not require a second wrench to hold (when removing/installing the bolt)the nut since the nut is in an awkward location. It is an application where a unit is bolted down for hauling, then...
I am trying to determine the pressure ratings for a given temp(chart or curve) for API 6A flanges. I have found a unofficial chart, but cannot seem to find anything trustworthy. Hopefully this is posted in the correct category.

Does anyone use routing to do complex welded piping? The routing library consists of only flanges and pipe. I am curious if there are users that have built up libraries of parts and believes that routing is a good tool. Cadworx is great and has a full library, but it is not compatible with...
I have a weld neck flange that will need to butt weld to a nozzle that is thicker. I am simply trying to determine the required and simplest method of making the transition. UW-9(2) and Figure UW-9-2 states that "The cl of the butt weld attaching a component(flange)to a thickened neck nozzle...
Im new to routing for asme vessel flanges and pipe runs. Ive got the hang of it when the tanks already have the flanges welded on the tanks. My question is this.....when designing new tanks, what is the best way to add the flanges, olets and other fittings to the tank? They will be welded of...
I used acad for years, then switched to solidworks for the last 10 years. Long story short, I am looking into changing industries due to the oil and gas industry being crippled. I see many jobs for autocad 3d requirements. Well, I thought maybe autocad had really changed and must be practical...
