Dear sir,
As all of you knows that in high temperature application piping, we used heat tracing below insulation to maintained the heat or to avoid the heat loss.
I want to know that in low temperature application piping line, what to do ? (in place of heat tracing)below cold insulation(PUF)...
Dear sir,
As per API 650, differential settlement is 13mm per 10 metres of circumference.
Does it means that 13mm on every quadrant or increase from qudrant to quadrant.
Example: For 20 metre Dia Tank, from 0 to 180 degree, max differential settelment is 39mm.
Pls clear.

Dear sir,
If we are going to weld the 6mm and 20mm thk carbon steel plates, with suitable electrode.
Then, which plate will bend more?
Whether, 6mm or 20mm plate?.
Normally, we say that 6mm will bend more.
But my question is, in 20mm plate our metal deposition is more than as compared to 6mm...
Dear experts,

Dear sir,
As we know that sensetization problems arises in mostly 316, 316L, 304 ( 3XX) series.
And sensetization usually occurs at 450 to 850oC.
My query is that during welding, temperature goes to 1020oC approx.
Then how sensetization occurs in weld metal when every weld goes through the...

Dear sir,
As in operation, we check pressure vessel thickness in every six months and hydro in every year, as per form 11 of pressure vessel.
Is any checking of piping and tanks in periodic way?
Pls suggest if any.

Dear sir,
Good afternoon!!!.
Coming back, after long time period.
My query is : when the impact requirement is mandatory?.
At which temperature or from which temp. impact requirement is starts.
OR it depends on thickness of material?
Pls give the reference of code.

Dear experts,
In manufacturing of austentic stainless steel like 316, 304 etc,
These pipes goes through the process of solution annealing or quenching and tempering.

Sir, I have pipe of P5 grade, so, PWHT is mandatory. Acc B31.3 and table 331.1.1 PWHT hr/inch. It says for min. 1 hr. But my query is that if thk is 7.11 or less than 25mm then how to decide holding time.
But if answer is minimum 1 hr is required.
Then my query is But just clearing my doubt...
